Enough is Enough
You are enough
You do not need the superfluous trappings of fame
Or the glare of a spotlight zeroed in on you
You do not need thunderous applause to prop you up
Because once that's gone, silence is all that's left
You are enough
You do not need people to hang on to your every word
Or have droves at your beck and call; what for?
You do not need the backing of the masses
Just a few who truly want to walk and run with you
You are enough
You do not need to always be in control, or at all
Or to know every single thing that happens around you
You do not need to have your say in every situation
Sometimes innocence and ignorance truly lead to bliss
You are enough
You do not need the fattest bank account in Zurich
Or have five villas in Panchgani or Tamtattouchte
You do not need to run after Aston Martins
Because you are much more inestimable than that
You are enough
You do not need to have the highest paying job
Or the most prestigious position on the chart
You do not need to dominate to be of worth
If you do, then you've completely missed the point
You are enough
For simply being you and nothing more
No need to be a duplicate, you are unique
You have what it takes to be excellent
No need to strive against them; only yourself
You are enough
For being human; for being you, man!
No need to feign strength or perfection
Your perspective precious, distinctive
No need to emulate another one
You are enough
For your compassion and persistence
No need to crank up your fully-charged heart
Keep going and go for bronze, silver, gold
No need to fake it; you can make it
You are enough
For your intellect and determination
No need to get another: that brand's all yours
Bring it out; put it on the table; share it
No need to be afraid; no one else can think as you
You are enough
For the life you live and legacy you'll leave
No need to follow the crowd; where are they headed?
You're in a class all your own; blaze a trail
No need to be held back; you've got what it takes
You are enough
You are able
You are adequate
You are capable
And if I may say so...
'Enough' is enough
